If we take a couple of minutes of our lives to count all the betting platforms that are right now available, will end up with a 3 digit number. At Bettingviews, we analyze the popular betting platforms so you don’t have to and at the end we come with a conclusion regarding them. Into our agenda for today we have a young betting platform that was started just a couple of years ago called Betway. We’ll analyze the user experience, the betting options, the security and payments options and at the end you will be able to read our sincere conclusion. Let’s begin, shall we?!

Betway was launched in the year 2006 and the main objective was to offer the best betting experience for the end user. As time passed, the company got more and more focused in providing a uniform and consistent betting journey, not only for for Desktop but also for your smartphone and tablet. The website went through two major redesigns that improved the overall performance of the platform and also made it easier for the newcomers in this endeavor to place a bet. Thanks to this approach, the company expanded and as of now Betway has operational offices in Malta, UK and Guernsey. Now we’ll take you through the website categories and share our thoughts regarding the general betting process.

We took a few hours to analyze each category, and below is our opinion regarding them.

Sports

The most popular category on any betting platform is Sports. Here you can see all the matches and sports that are available for betting. The experience is mainly the same across betting websites, but each platform has its own little tweaks to make it easier for the consumer to place an investment. In the case of Betway, in the left you will see some quick links where are placed the most popular sports in the website in chronological order and below you have the complete list of available sports for betting. What is nice in our opinion, is that you can filter the upcoming events by: within 1h, 4h or 24h. A super nice addition that every bookmaker should implement. It makes it way easier to prepare a list of events and get your bets ready. Here are some sports that you will find on Betway: Football, Hockey, Cricket, Horse Racing, Tennis, American Football, Golf, Rugby, Darts and so on. You place a bet by simply clicking the odds, and the matches or races (depends on the case) will appear in the betting slip in the right.

In the Slip there is the option to auto accepted odd changes and accept higher odds. One mention we have regarding the slip though, we found it to be annoying that it didn’t stick on the screen when we scrolled the page down. It made the betting process a little bit inconvenient, each time we wanted to make a change in the slip, we had to scroll back up make the adjustment then scroll back down at the place of interest. It’s not a big deal, but it’s worth it to be mentioned.

To access the Live matches tab of the sports category you have to click the In Play button that is found in the main menu, or the Go to Inplay button placed on the left site of the screen. (Which is a nice addition to speed up category changes). In the Live section you’ll see all the ongoing matches displayed on the left side list and also the upcoming live matches The number of sports that are available is limited so are the matches, there are just 11 main LIVE sports categories that appear on Betway. Also the number of events that are outgoing varies from day to day. As for betting experience, is as describe above, so we won’t enter in details.

eSports

eSports are relatively new in the online betting fields. Basically, for those folks that don’t know, the bets are placed on competitions that take place in different online multiplayer video games tournaments. Inside Betway you can place bets on CS:GO, Dota 2, LoL, Overwatch, Heroes Of The Storm and Hearthstone. If you played some of the games above, you know that the betting experience it’s a little bit trickier. This is because there are hundreds of variables to take in consideration when selecting an odd and the outcome can change in a fraction of a second. Why Besides the human factor, you must take in consideration also the game, which is not really that predictable. That being said, overall the interface is nice and smooth and we didn’t encounter any issues with eSports betting. If you are used to this type of betting, you will really like the interface and the overall feel of the site in terms of eSports betting.

Casino

In the casino area you will find the games that are in a real casino environment, for the most part. But the huge difference is that you can enjoy the experience from your laptop, tablet or mobile devices directly from the couch. Betway: Is it worth your investment?

At first we didn’t had high hopes for the website, being so new in this field. But as we explored more and more, saw the attention to detail and the user experience focus. We must say that Betway deserves a thumbs up. Betway is a good example of a relatively new platform that managed to evolve and refine its experience with each upgrade that they’ve made overtime. You have a large variety of sports, slot machine games that are updated and maintained by one of the industry leading game providers, they are concerned about you safety and offer you a large number of universal payment methods. A extremely well put together support system that even lets you email them directly if you have questions regarding the user agreements.

Yea, sure…there are small UI improvements that can be made, but those problems are not that serious. Because first of all: they are relatively easy to fix by an update, second of all: your opinion may vary, you may have a different way of using the site.
